Her academic and professional path is shaped by a strong interest in migration, social justice, and visual culture. She initially studied Media and Theatre Studies at Ghent University, specializing in the Nigerian film industry and collaborating with Nigerian immigrant filmmakers in Europe. Her engagement with migration-related issues deepened through her work in migration centers in Italy and Belgium, where she supported refugees and unaccompanied minors. Building on this experience, she completed an Advanced Master\u2019s in Conflict and Development, focusing her research on the trafficking of Nigerian women from Edo State to Europe. Together with Sarah Adeyinka, she also conducted a research project on the wellbeing of West African women in prostitution in Brussels, funded by the municipality of Schaerbeek.
