Cocreate vzw was founded with a focus on providing assistance and the necessary support for victims of sexual violence and human trafficking. We also prioritize the provision of support, especially training, for those that work with them. Recognizing that there are several credible and wonderful organizations that existed long before we did working in this field, we value collaborations very highly and know that in working together, we can assist more people.
We provide different types of support for victims of sexual violence human trafficking (and their families), and work with them and our partners towards a future that is realistic and sustainable. We don’t compare one person to another, each person’s journey is personal and unique, and that is how we proceed. We also provide training for caregivers and first responders, and are working towards providing other forms of support for them in the very important work that they do.
Our main beneficiaries are all victims of sexual violence and human trafficking, and mainly single mothers, whom we work with them to provide the support that they need, after all, we are the writers of our own stories. We never share identifiable pictures of our beneficiaries for their privacy and for ethical reasons, we believe that they should be able to go through life without being identified by their traumas.
