Below are short, pseudonymized and anonymised profiles of our beneficiaries. These are all people in situations of vulnerability, most of whom were previously trafficked and/or exploited in various ways. Some of our beneficiaries have children that were conceived through rape and violence, and have chosen to raise those children and move on in life. We support them and do not indicate which participants fall under that category.

Alero is a single mother of five who is now trying to find her feet after many traumatising experiences including domestic violence and human trafficking. We currently support her by paying her rent for a year, sponsoring the education of her five young children, providing basic amenities, and are in the process of assisting her with a small trade business.

Shola is a single mother of one who has constantly faced hardships over the years, including different forms of violence and human trafficking. She is keen to develop her small but growing business. We currently support her by paying her rent for a year, supporting her child’s school education when needed, and assisting her business on a small scale.

Amah is a single mother of two whom until recently lived in an uncompleted building with her 2 children [the youngest is an infant], due to extenuating circumstances. Our primary focus is on getting them to safety by paying their rent for a year, ensuring that both mother and children receive good medical care, and can regain a sense of normalcy.

Chichi is a single mother of two who is currently undergoing reintegration into society after violent experiences during her migration journey abroad, and some disappointments after return. We currently support her by paying her rent for a year, assisting in paying her child’s school fees when needed, and assisting her business on a small financial scale.

Nini is a single mother of two who is also currently undergoing reintegration into society after violent experiences during her migration journey abroad and after return to Nigeria. We currently support her by paying her rent for a year, assisting in paying her child’s school fees when needed, and assisting her business on a small financial scale.
